Elim is a missional congregation. During 2010-2011 the church:
- Sponsored a medical mission to Romania
- Conducted home repair and a Vacation Bible School for a church in Appalachia
- Participated in a home repair week in Florence, SC
- Adopted the local primary school through a Faith-based Initiative with the local school district
- Sponsored for the third year a Good News Bible Club for grades K-6, in the adopted primary school
- Constructed five wheel-chair ramps as a ministry of the Baptist Men
- Sponsored suppers at the Francis Marion University Baptist Collegiate Ministry
- Participated in a ministry for traveling workers at the local county fairgrounds
- Sent 4 of its members to an SBC disaster relief mission in Alabama
- Sponsors a youth and men’s basketball with Bible Study
- Has several teams of members visiting in the local nursing homes and hospitals.
